Concurrent with his work at Visante, Kent is Pharmacy Manager for Indiana University (IU) Health Home Care providing home healthcare services for patients in the IU Health network, which is comprised of 20 hospital facilities in Indiana. He is in charge of coordinating pharmacy support and education to assist patients maintain their own infusion therapies. His responsibilities also involve the integration of home care pharmacy services with the various patient care modalities provided by physicians, nurses, laboratories, and clinics throughout this system.
Prior to this, Kent was Pharmacy Manger for Community Home Care and Hospice in charge of pharmacy services for home infusion, enteral feedings, and hospice medications. He is credited with the program’s initial startup and helping it grow from serving just a few patients to many hundreds each year. He also developed a program to provide oral medications and alternative dosage forms to the system’s hospice patients.
Kent’s greatest satisfaction comes from helping other people become better at what they do. It is his belief that successful organisations have leaders who can effectively engage and activate the will of each individual in a positive way for that organization.
